I developed the Barbie Dream Gap Curriculum, an asynchronous online and hybrid learning program created in collaboration with Barbie, alongside a research and evaluation study to assess its effectiveness and inform future curricular improvements.
Focused on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), the curriculum is designed to inspire confidence in young girls and encourage them to pursue learning, careers, and leadership without limits.
In collaboration with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, PBS Kids!, and the Department of Education, I conducted research on how educational digital media can help young children, especially in low-income communities, develop key skills for success in school and life.
This first-of-its-kind study uses data-driven methods to assess learning outcomes through game-like assessments, providing insights into how digital media supports cognitive skills. The research also guides improvements to better support educators and families in using these resources to enhance early learning.
I conducted an impact evaluation of contemporary, learner-centered music education for the Community Music Center of Boston.
I analyzed and synthesized the short-, medium-, and long-term impacts of CMCB’s efforts to redefine musicianship and integrate culturally responsive pedagogy and social-emotional learning into music instruction.
